We’re Victor and Stephanie. Victor photographs and edits. Stephanie runs everything else. She’s the one planning the session, texting you the week before about what to wear, and crouched behind him making a two-year-old laugh at exactly the right second. When people look comfortable in our pictures, that’s her.
What we want to make is the kind of picture that ends up on a wall and stays there. The one you still stop and look at years from now, when everyone in it has grown. That’s the bar we hold every session to, whether it’s a wedding or a Saturday afternoon in your backyard.
That changes how we shoot. We’re not working down a shot list. We’re watching for the thing that’s actually happening between you, the way you fix your child’s hair without looking down to do it, the way your hands find each other when neither of you is thinking about it. Then we build the light and the frame around it so it holds up as a picture and not just as a nice thing that happened.
